But i'm trying to find an apartment ...like now. lol Anyone happen to know how much the Glenn charges for a 1 bedroom? And what their pet fees are? (I have a cat)... Their website doesn't seem to list the prices anywhere and it's too late to call them this evening... |

Hello Evergreen affiliates. I just finished another contract for this quarter, and when I turned it in I saw a stack of contracts on the desk. I'm always curious about what the heck everyone is doing, and so I thought I'd come here and ask.
What are you doing for your independent contract/internship this quarter? The front desk person at the Dean's office told me they received hundreds this quarter! |

hi y'all
i'm thinking about moving to olympia to establish state residency in hopes of attending evergreen. i'm psyched about potentially slogging through wet weather, being an active member of varied communities, being able to bike places, etc etc-- the only thing deterring me is anecdotes from people that the job market in olympia is impossible to penetrate, especially to young student types. i need, at the very least, part-time work, but ideally something relatively dependable for (at least) a year.
so, what's the deal? are part-time jobs or anything at all really that scarce? how do grown ups survive?

How much does yoga club cost to people who aren't Evergreen students?
Do you have to be an evergreen student to attend yoga club?
Where, and what time, do they meet?

I am a single mother of two (3 & 5-yrs-old), working a retail job that requires me to be gone outside of normal daycare hours, on occasion. My working hours range from 8:30 a.m. -12Midnight and will vary some week to week, however, I will never work more than 40hrs each week. My sister (2010 Evergreen graduate) does live in our home and is usually home by 9 p.m. , so most nights won't require you to be there too late. My son is in AM-Kindergarten at Horizons Elementary and will need to be picked up from school on days that I open. I will require a background check and at least 3 references from previous families (we are pretty laid back, but no creepers, please!) Reliable transportation to and from my home and my sons school is a necessity! Hey guys! So, I'm looking to move to Olympia to establish residency, and I feel like moving close to Evergreen will be the best fit for me. Due to this, I would love to find a place in Coopers Glen in January.
Here's a little about me:
I'm a pre-school teacher. I have a lot of experience working with children and plan on continuing to support myself working with children when I move. If that doesn't pan out somehow, I'll fall back onto retail.
I have a good amount of money saved for when I move. I will be able to support myself from 8-10 months with or without a job, though I'm hoping I won't have to do this.
I am a laid back person who values open communication. I want to work together with people in a house hold so we can live as comfortably as possible.
I am 420 friendly.
I would like to live with other Evergreen students, but this is not a requirement.

Hey. Would anybody be interested in two brand-new record-player needles? They're standard in size and type, but I can provide the brand name and whatever else is written on the back of the plastic case, if asked for. I bought them for $26, and I'll sell them for $10. Let me emphasize that these have never before been used; they're the wrong size for my record player. |
